Preview: This listing presents a truly unique and one-of-a-kind vehicle: a 1960 Buick LeSabre wagon transformed into a custom “BuWick” Camino, a striking blend of art deco design and automotive ingenuity. This extraordinary vehicle features a 364 Nailhead V8 engine, a 3-speed automatic transmission, and a carefully executed custom conversion that merges the elegance of a classic Buick with the practicality of an El Camino. With only 29,169 miles, this vehicle stands as a testament to the craftsmanship involved in its creation, offering both vintage charm and modern functionality. This conversion was done right with all the best metal work and lots of vintage touches.

Exterior: The exterior of the “BuWick” Camino is a stunning work of art, finished in a patina paint that showcases beautiful metallic scalloping and pinstriping throughout, including the door jambs, interior, and motor compartment. The vehicle’s body was expertly altered by removing the center section and moving the back window up, while retaining a fully functional tailgate. The patina paint, combined with the chrome bumpers all refinished and custom chrome body trim and fender skirts, gives this vehicle a distinctive and eye-catching appearance. The vintage headlights feature a half metallic coating, and the tail lights are adorned with green gems, adding to the vehicle’s unique art deco flair. The windshield, shared with a 1959 Cadillac, further enhances the vehicle’s classic aesthetic. The car rides on American Racing Torque Thrust wheels wrapped in wide white wall tires, supported by a Ridetech air ride system with four switches and a hand-painted air tank for a smooth and adjustable ride. Welded doors are seamless with added rain guards.

Interior: Inside, the “BuWick” Camino boasts a luxurious and spacious ostrich leather interior, featuring Mercedes-Benz 1960 bucket seats that have been expertly recovered. The interior is filled with vintage touches, including crystal door, window, and lock knobs, a chopped horse-shoe shaped steering wheel, and a unique mirrored odometer with an adjustable viewing angle. The dashboard is equipped with a working dash-mounted vintage fan, 1960 air conditioning vents (ready for use with Vintage Air), and a floor-mounted vintage radio. The 1961 Falcon center console, paired with a Lokar shifter housed in a vintage toaster shift boot, adds to the vehicle’s retro charm. The back window features super cool blinds, and an Edison bulb dome light is included for show, enhancing the vehicle’s nostalgic appeal.

Mechanical: Under the hood, the “BuWick” Camino is powered by a 364 Nailhead V8 engine that runs great, paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle is equipped with power brakes featuring a dual master cylinder, power steering, and aluminum drum brakes all around with brand new pads. The vintage alternator maintains the look of a generator, while a large radiator and Dynamat under the hood ensure the vehicle stays cool and quiet during operation. The vintage lake pipes and Flowmaster exhaust system provide a classic sound that complements the vehicle’s powerful performance. The body has been ventilated underneath the bed, which includes a storage trunk, further enhancing the vehicle’s practicality.
