Michael Cole's View

This Corvette has been in the same family since 1994 and has had numerous suspension parts and maintenance done to it over the last 28 years of ownership. This Corvette is sold as-is, where-is, on a clean and clear, mileage-exempt title. The Corvette would make a great restoration project for someone or can be driven in its current state.  Michael Cole is the Voice and Personality of High Tech Corvette, the largest Corvette related Facebook page with 2.7 million followers and brings vast experience and expertise in the Corvette World. This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is a highly collectible car in fair condition, located in St. Louis, Missouri. Finished in Monaco Orange with a black, power-folding vinyl top and black vinyl interior, this Corvette has a unique and classic look. With only 9,739 miles on the odometer, this Corvette is a great candidate for restoration or can be enjoyed as a driver in its current condition. The Corvette comes with documentation that includes a 1969 Corvette Guide, assorted receipts and invoices, some general 1969 model information, and a magazine article.

Exterior: The bodywork on this Corvette is straight and solid, with chrome bumpers that fit tightly to the body. The paint and trim are in overall fair condition with some obvious surface blemishes. This Corvette has GM’s Astro Ventilation, which eliminates the side vent windows on 1963-1967 Corvettes. The Corvette rolls on BFGoodrich Radial T/As, size 205/70R15 at every corner. Each one is mounted to a factory, turbine-style alloy wheel. The wheels and tires are all in satisfactory order.

Interior: The interior of this Corvette features black vinyl seats, revised door panels, and headrests. The steering wheel diameter was reduced from 16 to 15 inches to permit easier entry and exit. The ignition switch was moved from the dash to the steering column, and map pockets were added to the dash area in front of the passenger seat. The car comes with a box of parts in the passenger seat.

Mechanical: Under the forward-hinged hood is a 350 CID Turbo-Fire V-8 engine (codes L46 and HW), which produces 350 gross horsepower with an 11.0:1 compression ratio. The engine block is #3970010 while the head is #3927186 with a Rochester Quadrajet Carburetor, #7029207, alternator #1100859, and distributor #1111493 with single-point ignition and dual exhausts. Driver convenience features include power steering and power brakes. However, the odometer, wipers, and headlight dimmer switch are inoperable.

Highlights: This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is one of 16,633 Corvette convertibles made that year. It has the desirable 350 CID Turbo-Fire V-8 engine (codes L46 and HW) making 350 hp, paired with a Muncie four-speed manual transmission, close-ratio (code M21). The Corvette also features factory turbine-style alloy wheels and Astro Ventilation.
