Preview: Presenting the 1947 Chevrolet 3100 Thriftmaster, a beautifully Restored pickup truck showcasing Chevrolet’s Advanced-Design, the first major redesign after World War II. This truck features a period-correct 216ci 6-cylinder engine paired with a 3-speed manual transmission. With a Sage Green exterior and a Brown cloth interior, this pickup offers both historical significance and vintage appeal.

Exterior: The exterior of this 1947 Chevrolet 3100 Thriftmaster is finished in Sage Green with a two-tone design that draws attention. The body style is a classic two-door pickup truck. Notable features include original-styled “Chevrolet Thriftmaster” emblems on the hood, a gas filler placed uniquely between the cab and the passenger rear wheel well, and Oak inlays in the bed separated by color-coded bed strips. The truck rides on steel wheels with chrome center caps, adding a touch of elegance.

Interior: Inside, the truck features a simple yet functional Brown cloth interior. The bench seat is positioned at a comfortable height and distance from the pedals and steering wheel. The interior includes original-styled gauges, although the speedometer is non-functional (a new speedometer cable is included). Additional interior features are padded sun visors, a padded dash, and variable speed windshield wipers. The floors and roof have been rhino-lined to protect against corrosion and provide added insulation.

Mechanical: Under the hood, the 1947 Chevrolet 3100 Thriftmaster houses a period-correct 216ci Thriftmaster OHV six-cylinder engine. This engine, which was freshly rebuilt before the current ownership, starts reliably with a manual choke and foot starter. The power is managed by a 3-speed manual transmission with a floor shifter. The truck is equipped with bias ply tires, maintaining its period accuracy and vintage driving experience.  Pull the choke, tap the gas a time or two, and push that ol’ skool starter on the floor to bring back those farm memories.
