The 1962 Corvette was the fastest and best handling Corvette made to date back then and to some it was the pinnacle of Corvettes in that era and beyond. With the Roman Red exterior, black interior, 4-speed, white soft top, and the original 327-340 horse small block Chevrolet engine, this is what you’ve been looking for. It is your chance to buy a rare Corvette you can drive and enjoy today. Preview: The 1962 model year ended up being the last model of that era before the much talked about second-generation Corvette was to debut in 1963. In the last ten years, with brilliant engineers and designers like Edward Cole, Zora Arkus-Duntov and Bill Mitchell, the 1962 C1 Corvette had become an American Sports Car Classic. This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette has the original 327 cubic inch engine, 340 hp, numbers-matching engine, Rust color exterior, White Convertible Top, Black bucket seat interior,  factory Tach and a Wonder Bar Radio.

Exterior: In 1962, the Corvette underwent more than just a mechanical overhaul as its styling was similar to previous years but the chrome outlines around the body side coves were dropped and the coves on this example are painted to match the rest of the Corvette. This Corvette has Roman Red paint that is shiny with great body fitment over its sweet lines, chrome front and rear bumpers, chrome windshield trim, cross-flag emblems, and chrome side mirror. It has a white manual soft-top and nothing looks classier than a red Corvette with a white convertible top and white sidewall tires.

Interior: The Corvette wears a black leather bucket seat interior with twin bucket seats, black/polished steering wheel, black carpeting, rubber black floor mats, black dash with all working factory gauges and instrumentation, Wonderbar push button radio, matching door panels, rear view mirror, clock, all in good shape.

Mechanical: This Corvette has the original 327 cubic inch 340 horse numbers matching engine (verified by the engine stamp pad numbers and casting number on the block, that retains the correct look with its 4-barrel carb, aluminum intake, factory cast iron exhaust manifolds, chrome lid air cleaner, cast aluminum finned Chevrolet script valve covers and sits in a nice and period correct engine compartment. It is backed by a four-speed manual factory 4-speed manual transmission while riding on steel wheels with the chrome hubcaps and white sidewall tires for the right look and stance.
