Preview: Presenting a genuine survivor from 1968, this Chevy Corvette Convertible boasts a modest 50,100 original miles and a remarkable history. It’s adorned with only a handful of non-St. Louis parts, including belts, battery, brake master cylinder, 1 front caliper, fuel pump, spark plug wires, tires, air filter, and radiator fan clutch. Additionally, the original brake master and fuel pump are available upon request.

Exterior: Sporting its factory paint, this vehicle showcases a classic Safari Yellow hue that has stood the test of time. While it does exhibit a few scratches commensurate with its age, overall, the exterior is in good condition, retaining its original charm and appeal.

Interior: Step inside to find a black interior that has aged gracefully. Though slightly worn, the seats remain largely intact, with only a small hole noticeable in the driver’s seat—a minor imperfection approximately the size of a pencil eraser. Beyond this, the interior remains undamaged, offering a comfortable and nostalgic cabin experience.

Mechanical: Under the hood lies the heart of this 1968 survivor—a 327ci V8 engine that continues to impress with its performance. Despite its age, the car runs smoothly, a testament to its well-maintained status. Notably, the original Quadrajet carburetor still serves faithfully, ensuring that all numbers match impeccably. Other original features, including the smog pump, wooden steering wheel, and spare tire boot, contribute to the vehicle’s authenticity and character. Moreover, functional components such as headlights, wipers, and the factory-original 4-speed Muncie transmission further enhance its appeal, delivering a driving experience that harks back to a bygone era. It also has the exhaust damper door to warm up engine in colder climates, and the door is working perfectly.

My mother bought This car from the original owner in 1978. It was garaged it’s entire life, has never seen a rain drop. Has factory paint, with a few minor blemishes. It does not need a paint job. The top is original as well and doesn’t need replacement either. With 50k original miles it’s mostly been parked and waiting for someone to polish her up and give attention she deserves. I am not in that position so will part with it for right offer, and person. This is a museum piece that runs great and is mechanically sound. But know that owning this car is a responsibility, not a whimsy. It needs an owner who will drive it, but not try to make it a daily driver with an EFI system or MDS ignition. Please be respectful of what this car is, if you purchase it.
