This custom-built 1969 RS Camaro is a unique blend of classic design and modern performance. Utilizing a 2000 Camaro SS rolling chassis, it features an LS1 engine and a T56 6-speed transmission. Finished in Competition Yellow with a Black vinyl top, it includes the RS package, cowl induction hood, and aftermarket Corvette wheels. The interior offers Black leather power bucket seats, advanced audio controls, and modern gauges. Recognized as an Editor's Choice Award Winner in the Super Chevy Show 2013, this Camaro represents a remarkable combination of vintage appeal and contemporary engineering. Exterior: The exterior of this custom 1969 RS Camaro is finished in GM Competition Yellow paint with black stripes and a Black vinyl top. The RS package includes distinctive hide-away headlights, enhancing its classic look. Additional features include a cowl induction hood, front and rear spoilers, and aftermarket Corvette wheels fitted with Goodyear Eagle GT tires. The car rides on 245/40ZR18 18″ wheels and features a 3.42 posi-traction rear end for improved handling and performance.

 

 

Interior: Inside, this Camaro features a Black leather power bucket seat interior with 7-way power front seats. The interior is equipped with a center console and custom audio system, including an AM/FM stereo, custom audio sound in the rear, and a power antenna. All stereo controls are conveniently located on the steering wheel. The cabin also features Auto Meter Cobalt gauges, a factory Hurst shifter, a tilt wheel, and cruise control. The car is also fitted with tinted windows for added privacy and style.

 

 

Mechanical: This Camaro is powered by a modern LS1 fuel-injected engine, paired with a T56 6-speed manual transmission. It features power rack & pinion steering, 4-wheel disc brakes, and air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable and controlled driving experience. The vehicle is equipped with a Flowmaster exhaust system, providing a robust and distinctive exhaust note. New components were purchased from General Motors to convert the entire powertrain to modern LS power.
